SDOC Summer Meals for Oconee Kids

The School District of Oconee County will provide two options for summer meals for students in Oconee County. Meals are available for children 18 years old and younger, or 21 years of age and younger for a child with disabilities. Children do not have to be enrolled with the School District of Oconee County to receive meals. Details on each program are available on the district homepage or by visiting www.sdoc.org/summermeals.

Important Reminders:

  • Students can not receive daily meals and participate in the rural meals program.
  • Parents can pick up one meal package each Wednesday & Friday per student each week at one site.
  • SDOC is participating in the Summer Rural Meal Program which allows for the weekly pick up of meals.

Summer Weekly Meals

WEEKLY MEALS SIGN UP  

June 3rd through July 24th  (no meal pickup on July 1st or 3rd )
Wednesdays pick up of 4 meals (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches)  &  Fridays pick up of 6 meals (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches)
In order to receive a full week of meals, you must pick up on both Wednesdays & Fridays

STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT  (PARENT MAY PICK UP)
Families are strongly encouraged to pre-order meals for each week.  For those who do not pre-order, any non-claimed meal packages will be given out on a first come, first served basis at the end of pick-up each day. Please note, the only way to guarantee a meal package for a student is to pre-order.

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
