The School District of Oconee County is designated as an eLearning District. Districts that meet the criteria for an eLearning District, as determined by the Department of Education, may use up to five eLearning days to allow for the make-up of short-term disruptions to in-person teaching and learning.

  • Assignments

    • PIP and 4K - Students will receive a packet quarterly for eLearning that should stay in their take-home folder.
    • Elementary & Middle School  - Assignments and videos will be posted in Google Classroom as soon as possible, but no later than 10:00 am the morning of inclement weather.
    • High School  - Assignments and videos will be posted in Canvas as soon as possible, but no later than 10:00 am on the morning of inclement weather.

    Online Presence
    When interacting online, students will:

    • be fully engaged
    • show respect toward the teacher and peers
    • participate verbally and/or digitally based on directions provided by the teacher

    Attendance

    • Students will be marked present if their eLearning assignment(s) are submitted by the end of the five-day period upon returning to school.
    • Those students who do not complete their eLearning assignment(s) by the end of the 5th day back at school will be marked absent.
    • Learning in the classroom will continue to progress after the eLearning day(s). Therefore, it is important that students complete the work as soon as possible.

    Learning Management Systems

  • SDOC instructional resources can be found within the SDOC ClassLink Launchpad. These can include IXL, Flocabulary, textbook resources, etc. School issue devices are highly encouraged for accessing these resources. If a personal device is used, the student must be logged into their SDOC Google account using their SDOC credentials (username & password).

  • Parents and students may communicate with teachers via ParentSquare or email. Teacher emails may be found using the staff directory on the district website. The link to the staff directory is: Staff Directory.

  • The information below provides specific time frames in which students can expect availability from their teacher(s), receiving live instruction, support of learning and/or a Q&A time. Attendance will not be taken; attendance for the day will be associated with the completion of tasks and assignments.
