SDOC has made some changes to the format of our salary schedules in response to new regulatory requirements under the Federal Fair Labor Standards act (FLSA).  The pay thresholds for the FLSA are increasing which means that the District's "exempt" schedule will no longer exist.  Classified scales now have more specificity, which should allow the district to respond more rapidly to changes in the labor marketplace based upon different job titles.  Instructional support staff that had been on the exempt schedule will return to the teacher's schedule, non-instructional staff that had been on the exempt schedule will now be on a non-instructional hourly schedule. If you have a specific question about your placement on a salary schedule, please contact the business office.
