If no announcement is made, SDOC will operate on a normal schedule

All schools will open two hours later than normal. Buses will run two hours later than normal. Morning PIP classes will not meet.

Students will not report to school buildings

Teachers may provide live instruction, a pre-recorded lesson or online resources according to the following schedule:

Elementary Schools
10:00am to 12:00pm
Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom

Middle & High Schools
10:00am to 12:40pm
Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom for middle school students and in Canvas for high school students.  
Specific times for each class period with details will be communicated by teachers through email.

All students will have 5 days upon returning to school to turn in assignments. If assignments are not completed and turned in within those 5 days, the student will be considered absent for the eLearning day.

eLearning Information

Practices, games, concerts and/or any other evening activities are cancelled.

There may be times that school needs to be dismissed early due to weather conditions.  In these cases. an announcement will be made as soon as possible through all normal communication methods.  The announcement will include information about dismissal times for elementary, middle and high schools.  In the case of early dismissal, parents can assume that all afternoon and evening activities will be cancelled. 

There may be times when schools need to be closed due weather conditions that are severe enough that eLearning is not possible. In these cases, the district will be fully closed and the day will need to be made up. Students will not receive assignments on these days.
