This framework has been adopted by many state agencies and school districts. The South Carolina Department of Education provides State Curriculum Standards to support schools as they work to help students achieve this vision.

The SC Curriculum standards can be difficult to understand. To help families have a better understanding of what their students are learning, the South Carolina Education Oversight Committee has developed family-friendly standards. If after reading through these, you still have questions about a standard or something your student is learning, please contact your child's teacher for more information.
