The VISION of our program is to promote and protect student health and wellness by providing evidence based nursing care that will facilitate student health and academic success.

Yes, it is possible for the school nurse to give your student prescription medicine at school. You will need to consult with the school nurse at your child's school and complete the Permission to Administer Prescription Medication Form.

The School District of Oconee County Board of Trustees has adopted Policy JLCD "Assisting Students with Medications" to ensure the safe administration of medicines to students during school hours.

DHEC provides a list of required immunizations by grade level to help parents know what what their students need to be able to attend school. Page 4 of the document linked below lists requirements for school age children.
