Oconee Adult Education is excited to announce a new location for the 2020-2021 school year. We will be located at the Bountyland Education Campus, formerly known as the Hamilton Career Center. Persons who do not currently hold a High School Diploma or a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED/GED©) or those interested in taking ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are encouraged to register for the new school year at the Bountyland Education Campus on August 10th, 11th or 12th from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm. ESL classes will be offered at the Bountyland Education Campus as well as in Walhalla (177 Razorback Lane). During the registration process, students will:
Orientation for Diploma and HSED (GED©) Classes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 17th - 19th, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Orientation will include a preview of the Adult Educational program, introduction to community members who may be able to help with financial assistance for Adult Education, meetings with possible employers as well as hear information from Tri-County Technical College. Students will receive a login for Adult Education associated with a personal email account, WIN login, and GED login. Students will also take a TABE pre-assessment (Test of Adult Basic Education) and will choose a specific time of day they will attend classes. Class times offered are: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm or 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. ESL students will begin meeting with their ESL instructor (Seneca or Walhalla campus) on Monday, August 17th. ESL instructors will communicate class times. Classroom Instruction will begin class on Monday, August 24th Please be aware that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there may be changes made to the above information regarding dates and times of classes.
